This week I’m incredibly busy with school (midway through the quarter!) so instead of trying to play catch-up, I’m going to take a break for the rest of the week to work on my homework and study for several tests and competencies I have coming up!
Normal posting will resume next Monday, on February 4th.
Good luck to everyone else who has tests/lots of schoolwork/a crazy schedule, and I’ll see you next week!
Wondering what’s been happening with my life? Here’s the rundown:
Christmas: I got a Kindle Paperwhite! This means I spent several hours browsing Amazon.com frantically downloading as many books as I could possibly get. (Who can resist a good book? Plus the Kindle is very easy to transport to and from classes. Right now I’m currently reading 4 different books.)
I’ve been playing with a lot of technology recently. The boyfriend’s parents are BIG on electronics/technology and they’ve been really kind about letting us borrow some of their awesome equipment! As such, I’ve been fooling around with a Nikon D70 and a Wacom tablet recently. (Also, I acquired Photoshop over Christmas! Thanks to my sweet boyfriend.)
I’m in the second week of my second quarter of my program. I’m taking 5 classes which total up to 14 credits (if I remember correctly). I’ve been very busy, because I’m taking a couple online classes and I’m hoping to finish them early. Wish me luck!
Boyfriend and I got a pet! Boyfriend has been begging for a rat for several months, and we ended up finding one that someone was giving away. Boyfriend has decided to name him “Rufus.”
I got into the Zumba craze! I actually love it. I go (almost) every Wednesday and Friday evenings.
Outfit Details: Jacket: Northface, gift; Scarf: J.C.Penny; Rainboots: Rocketdog, gift; Jeans: Per Se, via Ross.
A Northface jacket is kind of a requirement for living in Washington State. It’s freezing, it’s always raining, and sometimes style comes second to comfort. Luckily, my cozy Northface comes with a cute polka dot print that works well with the only pair of rain boots I have.
Also–I’m obsessed with this scarf. I bought it before Christmas, wear it almost constantly, and I’m not sick of it yet!
This frilly little dress was given to me by a coworker. She was worried that I would be offended because the dress is a size large, but I told her I just wear what fits — no matter the size. When she gave it to me, I was delighted. It has a great pattern and I end up wearing it about once a week (no shame). It fits perfectly into my outfit rotation for work.
Also–I’ve been trying to teach boyfriend how to take good outfit pictures. He’s learning!
Jeans have become a thing of the past, lately. I’ve switched to wearing skirts and dresses–since my workplace requires a business casual style. As much as I have resisted wearing skirts in the past–I’m starting to find I don’t mind it nearly as much as I used to.
And can I just say that I completely foresaw the “mint” trend? I bought this dress off Modcloth a couple years ago and then a year or so later I began to see mint colored items everywhere!
